Atatürk’s Death
During 1937 Atatürk’s health problems started to appear. His condition worsened following
His journeys in the country. He went to İstanbul for treatment and he was diagnosed with
Cirrhosis.
While he was in İstanbul, he tried to keep up with his regular lifistle for a while. He
Headed the Council of Ministers meeting, worked on Hatay issue. He satayed on board
Savarona, his yatch until the end of July. His health worsened and then he moved to
Dolmabahça Palace
On November 10,1938, 9:05 am, Atatürk died at the Dolmabahçe Palace in İstanbul. He was at the age of 57
